I bought a jacket from Macpac and it’s been really comfy on longer walks. The fit is good overall, though the sleeves are a tiny bit long on me, but it hasn’t bothered me much. Weirdly, I remember noticing the zipper pull had this little clink sound when I first tried it on, but I got used to it fast. Overall, happy with it

I’ve bought from Macpac before and wanted to feel good about it, but after trying to dig into their sustainability info, I’m just not convinced. There are plenty of nice-sounding statements, but then I was looking for actual details on worker treatment and waste and—yeah, it kind of just goes vague again.
For an outdoor brand, I expected a lot more transparency. It feels like they want the eco-friendly image without really showing the harder stuff behind it. Maybe I missed something, but right now I don’t feel great about buying from them again anytime soon.

I used to think of myself as a loyal Macpac customer, so it’s disappointing to feel this way now. The prices seem to keep creeping up, and the service has been a bit hit or miss whenever I’ve gone in. Maybe other people have had better experiences, but for me it just doesn’t feel like a brand I can trust the way I used to. I’m not that keen to shop there again.

Every time I checked, the stuff I actually wanted was out of stock. I kept coming back hoping they’d finally get it together, but nope. After a while, I just got tired of dealing with this mess.

The jacket was tight across my shoulders while somehow being loose around the waist, so it’s not like sizing up would have solved the problem. Their size chart wasn’t much help either, which made the whole thing feel like Macpac should’ve done a better job with the fit details. I ended up returning it, and it was just a hassle. I don’t think I’d risk buying clothes online from them again.

I did get it in the end, but it took ages. At first I figured there was just a small delay, but after waiting and not getting clear updates, I ended up having to chase it up and escalate the complaint. It was frustrating for something that should’ve been straightforward.

I ordered a jacket and had a quick sizing question, so I emailed customer service the same day. my snap judgment after not hearing back for days was that I was on my own, so I just guessed and placed the order. They finally replied almost a week later, which was too late to be useful. I had the same kind of delay when I messaged about a return too. To be fair, the staff were polite once they got back to me, but the wait was frustrating.

The parcel came packed well. The box had a small dent, but everything inside was totally fine, so no big deal.

I bought this Macpac jacket for cold mornings, and yeah, it does keep me warm most of the time. The insulation feels decent, especially when I’m moving around or walking, but if I’m just standing still in the wind, it’s somehow not as warm as I thought it’d be?? The fit is okay and it’s comfortable enough, so no complaints there. I just kind of expected more warmth for the price. Not bad, not amazing either. Probably fine for regular winter days, but I’d definitely wear extra layers if it’s properly cold.

I’ve emailed a few times and I’m still waiting to hear back. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but I’m being careful at this point and holding off on doing anything further until I get a clear response.

After around 30 minutes in steady rain, my sleeves and shoulders started to feel a bit damp. For the price, I was hoping it would be more waterproof, so I’m a little disappointed overall.

Luckily, the return was straightforward and the refund showed up after a few days. My only complaint is that I wish the updates came through a bit faster, just for peace of mind

I wore this jacket on two weekend hikes and it already ripped. I had a gut feeling it wasn’t as sturdy as I expected when I first tried it on, and unfortunately that turned out to be right. Disappointing for something I thought would hold up better.

My order was ready the next day and pickup was easy. The queue moved a bit slowly, but overall it was a useful and simple experience.
